PROJECT 1: CASE STUDY PAPER
INTRODUCTION
This project is driven by Architectural Design Studio 4, as an approach to support students’ design through extensive research within the framework of sustainability design in Asia. The sustainability design framework focuses on the building assigned for site visit, with research objectives defined through in-depth literature review, leading to a well-established case study paper structure and writing. Assessments involve oral presentation and a written paper of 3,000 to a maximum of 4000 words. The final topic of the paper should be evolved in discussion and consultation with the tutors and should be finalised by the fifth week of the course. Students will present the summary of the paper with images in class – which contains an outline of the paper covering issues and themes explored, as well as a bibliography.
OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT
In this project, we are to do an extensive research within the framework of sustainability design in Asia for a specific case study. After that,we were to write a study paper of around 3000 words responding to the issues/topics generated, through a series of collection, indexing and evaluation of informatio, then analysis it and compile it in a proper form or formula. For this project, I had chosen House S11 as my case study for its unique and outstanding green design of the house itself. I did a in depth study on each design features of the building, the disadvantages that came along and how does the designer deal with it.

PROJECT 2 : DOCUMENTATION STUDY
INTRODUCTION
As for this project, we are put into group of 5 to study a street, study the characteristics of the street, what makes it special and then present it in the form of a photobook. The students are to develop critical perspectives on architecture and urbanism where tradition, modernity and globalization intersect through an exploration of the history of South, Southeast and East Asian architecture. My groupmates and I had chosen Gaya Street in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for this project as this street is a symbolic street that portray the multi-cultural and uniqueness of Sabah in term of living lifestyle , architecture language and so on.
