Project 1 Famous People, Familiar Faces Diagrammatic Abstraction

Villa Savoye is one of the well known modern architecture by Le Corbusier. The first task we were assigned is to study this building thoroughly, from the plans up to the body and form. In a group of 5 , we did a lot of research and realised how did Le Corbusier wonderfully applied the five points of new architecture in this building. The principles, ideas, concepts he adopted were just astonishing, I'm truly impressed and I hope that the studies I did on all these will be helping in my future time.
Project 2A Pavilion
In this project , we were sent to Kuala Selangor to study and analyse the site context. My group was responsible for swamp area. We were ask to come out with a proper analysis on site , which include animal activities, human circulation, soil conditions , existing structures and the relationship between our site and the pavilion we are going to build there. The even more challenging part of this project is that we were asked to design a pavilion for the client assign to us(in a group of 2) , in my case , is an actor. We have to study how actor lives , what he needs in detail in order to design him an appropriate pavilion. This is truly an interesting project , I learn a lot and had fun designing pavilion with my partner.
Project 2B Retreat House
Unlike second project , this time we were asked to design a retreat house for assigned character individually. We have to further study our character and keep develop our design so that our building can fit into the site while keeping the idea and concept that can best explain our character balance. In general , we just get better not only at designing a house for a particular client but also taking the relationship of the building with the site into consideration.
