ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
PROJECT 1 : PAYING IT FORWARD
In this project , we(in group of 10) were to approach the community that in need , helping them by applying the knowledges we had learned as an architecture students. The community we served was an orphanage called Philea Home located in Kapar, Selangor which is in need of new furniture as the original one has broken . In response to Philea Home's need and to gain awareness among society, we designed and made them a series of furniture by reuse and recycle materials. We decided to do so as the furniture we made required lower embodied energy compared to the manufacturer and I believe using recycle materials to make furniture can catch more attention in public so that the society will start to aware the issues regarding the environment and human we are facing right now. Throughout the project, we have to submit a proper proposal, report and also a poster and a video. So in conclusion, what we learn in this project is not only how to help the needy but also many other thing that we cant really experience as a student.

PROJECT 2 : NATURE AND US
As the environmental issues have gradually become more serious as it do have impacts of both mankind and earth badly, our school actually prepared this project for us to :

Recognize the effect of growth on the environment (nature and environment)

Explore the concept of environmental and ecological sustainability

Exemplify creativity in attempting to explore the current environmental circumstances

Recognize role and responsibility of an architect towards environment and society
In this project, we visited Taman Negara and through our investigation and observation we were to come out with a journal which will contain:
(1) Nature & Us (group task)
(2) Reflective essay (individual task)
As for group project , my partner and I decided to emphasis on 'GETTING BACK TO NATURE OR GETTING NATURE BACK?' We did a report after few times of dicussion together with the data collected from published materials, talking about how all these environmental issues happened and how the solutions.
